Online Pay How-To
City's online payment system for utility bills can do more than just let customers pay their bills online. Below is our step-by-step tutorial on how to utilize all ADG Online Pay's features.
When you click on "Online Payments" in greencovesprings.com, you'll be taken to the login page below. To login to your account, type your assigned utility billing account number in the "Account Number" box. Your password is your four digit street address. If your street address has three numbers, add a zero before your street address number.
Navigating Account Home Page
After you login, you'll be taken to your account home page. This page will list "Bill Recipient Information" which includes the customer account number, customer name, address, and primary phone number and email. Below that "Account information" lists the number of locations under the customer's name and the total account balance. "Active Billing Locations" underneath that individually lists all properties under the customer's name.
An important note in the "Active Billing Locations" table is the Status column. One of three statuses will be listed with each location: "Initial" are recently opened account addresses, "Cycle" are addresses currently billed that have been billed in the past, and "Closed Account" are addresses that have been closed and no longer receive utility service from the City.
If you click on the "i" inside the gray circle on the left of the "Active Billing Locations" table, it will pull up detailed information of that specific address below the "Bill Recipient Information" box. The menu on the left will also expand to give you more features that you can access with specific addresses.
How to Change Email & Notification Preference
If the primary email on your account home page is incorrect or you want to change how to receive utility bills and notifications, you can make corrections in the "How We Communicate With You" page located under "Account Management" in the left sidebar menu. On that page you can change and confirm your new email address, as well as indicate if you would like to receive monthly bills via email or physical mail and if you would like to receive related notifications via email.
How to Change Billing Address
If you need to change your billing address, you can go to "Where We Send Bills" under "Account Management" in the left sidebar menu. On that page you can update the address where you want utility bills sent to. You can also use this feature if you will be away from home for a prolonged period of time and need your bills temporarily sent to another address.
Adding Third Party Contacts
"Adding Third Party Contacts" page, also under "Account Management" in the left sidebar menu, is a useful tool to add another person (such as a family member or caretaker) to also receive utility bills and other notifications sent to a customer's address. Click "Add a New Third Party Contact" to add the second contact's information.
Expanded Features under "My Bill"
On the account home page, if you click on the "i" inside the gray circle on the left of the "Active Billing Locations" table, it will pull up detailed information of that specific address below the "Bill Recipient Information" box. The menu on the left will also expand to include "My Bill" under "Account Management" to give you more features that you can access with specific addresses.
One of the first features listed under "My Bill" is "View Transactions." Once you select a specific address on your account home page (if you have more than one), clicking on this link in the left sidebar menu will take you to a page that lists all past utility bills and payments under that address. If you click on the "i" in a small black circle on the left side of the past utility bills and payments table, another smaller window will open with a breakdown of the total of that individual bill.
This page, located under "My Bill" in the left sidebar menu, will give a percentage breakdown of utilities used during the past 12 months for a specific address.
Under "My Bill" in the left sidebar menu, "View Consumption" gives a monthly cost breakdown of utilities per month as well as a yearly comparison graph. With the installation of remote meter readers, this page will also have a link that says " This meter collects daily usage data. Click Here to view." This link will take you to a smaller pop-up that gives a daily breakdown of utility usage of a specific address. This is a useful tool to analyze daily usage or to determine a higher than usual bill. While only electricity is currently broken down by day, the remote meter readers will have the capacity to track water usage soon.
