The Green Cove Springs Police Department operates a part-time Marine Enforcement Unit to enforce local and state boater safety laws. Our Marine Unit operates within the jurisdiction of our city waters and, under a mutual-aid agreement with the Clay County Sheriff's Office, in some neighboring unincorporated waters. The GCSPD Marine Enforcement Unit responds to calls for service, and functions as a liaison with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the United States Coast Guard (USCG), the Clay County Sheriff's Office, and other local marine enforcement units.
The GCSPD Marine Enforcement Unit falls under the command of the Operations Division Commander.
