Police Communications OfficeThe Green Cove Springs Police Department's Communications Section handles all emergency and non-emergency calls received by the City; 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our Communications Center is the lifeline and central hub of our department, and the communications officers are a vital component to our agency and community. Communications officers are truly "First Responders", as they will be the first people you speak to when calling for help. In 2020, our Communications Section handled over 53, 900 different events.

In addition to dispatching for the city police department, in August of 2019, GCSPD communications officers began dispatching for the newly created Clay County District Schools Police Department.

The GCSPD Communications Section is supervised by a civilian communications supervisor and is commanded by the Administrative Division Commander.
