The Finance Department is committed to:

  • Provide timely, accurate, clear and complete information and support to other city departments, citizens, and the community at large
  • To ensure that financial records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and guidelines as established by State and Federal agencies
  • To be a good steward of taxpayer funds, always looking for cost efficiencies in all City operations

Responsibilities

The Finance Department is responsible for all financial activity for the City of Green Cove Springs, including the integrity of the accounting records and all aspects of the financial reporting.

The Finance Department includes the activities of:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable

  • Budgeting
  • Customer Service
  • Establish Electric, Water, Wastewater, and Trash Pick-Up Service
  • Financial Reporting
  • Meter Reading
