Remote Meter Reader Installation

Description

Replacing select meters throughout the City Utility service area with meters that can track and read electric, water, and wastewater usage from nearby buildings within a radius. This will allow the accurate reading of customer meters without the need of a meter reader to physically go to a utility meter on a customer's property. Customers can also track their usage online through their online pay account. Customers can go to our Online Pay How-To page to learn where to find this data. 

Current Progress

Second round of installation started in March 2023 and is expected to be complete in June 2023. 

Timeline

First round of installation started October/November 2022 and lasted two months. A third phase of installation for commercial properties is anticipated to start soon.
